What Colors are Recommended on African American Skin Tones?
kilo_of_sin asked:
I know colors look good at first, but a tattoo is forever. What colors really last as the tat ages?

i would say bright vibrant colors.
they should be hard to fade and show up really well on darker skin.
like white, turquoise, yellow, lime, hot pink type of colors.

Vanna :]] knows nothing about tattoos…white is only used for shading and highlighting and that’s all.
It all depends on how deep your skin tone is since they way a tattoo color looks in your is a combonation of the ink and the your skintone that heals over the ink.
If you’re lightskinned like Ice T you can get just about any color or if you’re like around say Halle Berry’s shade too. Kelis has color tattoo…the key thing is that tattoo artist will use lighter brighter colors to get close to a shade that works best with your skintone. Red is usually the best color (I’m lightskined and Red really pops with my skintone).
If you are dark skinned like Tyrese, 50 cent, or Wesley Snipes, you may wanna stick to black n grey work which looks good on every skin tone. You can still get color if you’d like but you won’t able to see it too well after it heals. A friend of mine who has very dark skin has color tattoos and the colors are veryhard to see.
