What products do you use for your skin care regimen?
Ok I admit it, I don’t take very good care of my face. I wash it with makeup wipes and go to bed, apply a bit of moisturizer and then slap on some more makeup. Sometimes I will wash it with Clean & Clear face wash. I know I should probably be using a nice serum to make my skin look and feel healthier and to combat age (I’m only 23 now but I want to get a jump on wrinkles and age signs!)
What do you recommend as a good regimen for facial skin care. What products do you think work? I am Caucasian with fair skin. It’s not really very oily but tends to get dry in the summer heat. I still break out a bit every once in a while and my biggest complaint is dark under eye circles. Any ideas on what I should buy? What do you like to use?

skip the serum for now, it’s a bit too early to start it.
i like using Dove for Sensitive Skin Cleanser – it’s gentle, effective and won’t dry your skin out
I love Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizer with SPF. It evens out skin tone and protects too. I also like Olay Complete with SPF.
I started using a basic night cream around 23 too (no need to use anti-wrinkle stuff yet, but the added moisture is great for the skin). try Dove, or Nivea.
exfoliate regularly with a gentle exfoliator (something with microbeads or a homemade mix of sugar or baking soda with your cleanser works great).
i’m not sure about eye creams. i don’t have dark circles, but I like Clinique All About Eyes Rich.
The key at this stage in your skin care is to protect it from the Sun and environmental damage, and moisturize to prevent loss of elasticity.

Hi:
I am a Registered Nurse and I specialize in skin care and teen acne.
It’s good that at 23 you are starting to think about a proper skin care regimen. Once we reach 25 our collagen prodcution ( under the skin) decreases and it is at this point that we must nourish our skin with products that are hydrating ( because the water based products will penetrate into the skin) and are derived from fruit, vegetable or vitamin extracts.
A basic skin care regimen is this:
1. Cleanser
2. Toner
3. Eye Cream
4. Night Moisturizer
Daytime:
1. Cleanser
2. Daytime moisturizer
3. If you use make-up you can apply it on after you put the moisturizer on.
What I suggest you do is this: visit this website:
There you can ask all the skin care related questions you have FREE OF CHARGE and you will get answers from skin care experts/physicians within 12-24 hours.
You can also email them pictures ( which they keep private) and have a free analysis.
They carry the BEST PRODUCTS in the market. I have all my patients buy products from them because they are natural products PACKED WITH SKIN NOURISHING VITAMINS.
Because they dont mass market to millions of people like store bought or department store products do, each product you buy is actually packed with a high volume of vitamins for your skin.
Visit their site, scroll down to the ASK FOR FREE section and send them an email. Start with asking them free advice and see if they recommend anything for you.
For 12 years my patients have been using their products and I would not trust any other company or skin care experts but them!!!!!
Good Luck

Hi Nicole – I’m a rep for a new line called Votre Vu – which is an all natural French skin care line launching in Sept. I think it’s going to be huge!! You can check out the website at. The products are all natural and will be gentle to your skin.
I’ve also used Clinique in the past and had good results with that too. I would recommend using a moisturizer with sunscreen during the day and a heavier moisturizer for night. Also, don’t skimp on the eye cream. If you take good care of your skin now you will thank yourself in your 30′s and beyond. Have a great day. votrevutrish
